Dealing with Rejection: Why Ignorant Men Give Us the Ick in Dating

You know what’s really giving me the ick lately?

Men. This should come as no surprise given the increase in childfree cat lady threats, but men on the internet are showing their ignorance.

Talking about controversial topics on social media opens me up to criticism. It comes with the territory. I’m frequently mansplained, given hate, told I’m wrong (by all genders, but mostly men). But I’m sharing this with you for a reason.

The men that write hateful comments and think they’re superior when it comes to STIs are the same ones who aren’t getting tested, aren’t communicating with their partners, and probably aren’t the best partners tbh. It’s giving ick.

When it comes to rejection so many of you are the first to bring up the ~dreaded~ talk, because of what you have learned, and your vulnerability. Instead of immediately putting yourself (and your status) out there to be shamed, rejected, and hated on, put it on them. Ask them for their results, screening history, etc.

Just like the men on my socials, it will tell you everything you need to know about them as a partner. It’s not to say these people can’t learn, or that every dude is going to be this way.

But if you’re really struggling with rejection or trying to weed out secs negative partners, this method can definitely help.

Lmk if you try it out!
