What I Wish I Knew When I Was Diagnosed with Herpes

It’s been 9 years since my herpes diagnosis. Here are a few things I wish I knew when I was diagnosed…

💖People (and partners) are going to have reactions about herpes. Their narratives don’t need to dictate your reality.

💖Rejection is inevitable in life and love. The sooner you stop ruminating over why they rejected you, the sooner you can find someone who sees and accepts the whole you.

💖Not every date is ready or willing to be a student when it comes to herpes and STI stigma.

💖Outbreaks will come and go. Develop a self-care routine that you can lean into when they show up.
