Good News for Your Sexual Health: STI Rates Are Declining (But There’s More to Know)

Finally, some good news.

The CDC’s annual STI Surveillance Report shows an overall decrease in STl rates, down 1.8% compared to last year. But the real question is, how do these trends impact YOU and your dating life?

Key findings:
- Gonorrhea ⬇️ 7.2%
- Chlamydia remained stable
- Syphilis ⬆️ 1%

While this news is encouraging, I also want to be realistic about what this means for you—lower rates don’t mean we can skip the STI talk or regular testing. Access to accurate information, testing, and treatment remain imperative.

For a more detailed breakdown and explanation of what this means, check out my latest Substack! You’ll learn:

- Who’s most impacted
- What’s driving the change
- Why some STls *aren’t* included
- What this means for you (especially under a new administration)
