Can "The Facebook for STIs" Revolutionize Sexual Health?

Can an app dubbed “the Facebook for STIs” change the game when it comes to dating and sexual health?

Enter @myrezults, a sexual health platform in the UK that partners with Sexual Health London (SHL) so users can securely share their STI test results with their partners.

Zults is a startup founded by Georgia Di Mattos, entrepreneur and former architect, and Bianca Dunne, a National Health Service (NHS) sonographer.

Users transfer their results from SHL to the Zults platform, which generates a digital link to share with your partners. You can share via direct link, Bluetooth, or QR code.

If you don’t have STI results that are compatible with Zults, you can order a free at-home testing kit through SHL.

Georgia, the CEO and Co-Founder is quoted on the website as saying, “In a world with self-driving cars, it’s absurd that we still rely on embarrassing screenshots or intimidating emails to share STI results.”

I think the graphic design of Zults is MUCH more attractive than the usual clinical (and arguably ugly) screenshots of test results and more people would be willing to share something more aesthetic and updated.

Even though Zults is partnering with SHL, of course there will be questions about data and security (I, unfortunately, don’t have answers to those), as with any app sharing or storing health data.
