Acceptance vs. Compatibility: Finding a Long-Term Partner with Herpes

Reminder‼️

Just because someone you’re dating accepts your herpes status doesn’t mean that you’re compatible in a long-term relationship.

I get it. You fear rejection, so their acceptance means that much more (especially in a world that tells you that you’re unworthy and will never find anyone 🙄).

Maybe you’ve been on so many dates that lead to rejection you’re convinced that this is how it has to be (plot twist: it doesn’t)

But someone accepting your herpes status doesn’t mean that you’re automatically compatible for the long haul.

It's in this space of acceptance and a desire for belonging that I can understand why a lot of people settle in their relationships because of their herpes status.

Don’t let that be you! You are worth a loving, supportive, understanding partner who accepts your herpes status in addition to all of the other qualities about you!
