Signs You're Distancing Yourself from STI Stigma

I don’t know if we are ever truly capable of removing ourselves from STI stigma entirely; however, I do believe that there is a noticeable distancing from STI stigma once we open ourselves to education.

Here are a few signs you might be distancing yourself from STI stigma:

1. You prioritize STI screenings as part of your sexual self-care

2. You ask your partners about their sexual health screening histories and encourage open dialogues around sexual health and pleasure

3. You interrupt STI stigma in action (ex. Jokes, blaming, shaming, etc.)

4. You approach STIs and sex with curiosity rather than fear and shame
