Redefining Mother's Day: From "Belly" Talk to Body Empowerment

I’m seeing a lot of “belly” talk on social media this Mother’s Day, and it has me thinking—is it an avoidance of sex, internalization of shame, lack of education, or some combination of all three?

An atypical Mother’s Day reminder that babies develop in the uterus, not in the belly. It’s imperative to empower children (and, at times, ourselves) with the correct anatomical names for body parts to model honest conversations in future relationships—whether sexual or not.

I highly suggest that teachers, parents, and caretakers of young ones engage with the work and seek the services of @sexpositive_families for further on talking to kids at every age about sex!
