Why Boring Self-Care Routines Are the Key to Feeling Your Best

Hot people have boring self-care routines!!

Last week was… a lot 😵‍💫 January felt like an entire year itself, but we’ve made it to a new week.

We weren’t designed to navigate a world with a constant stream of bad things and it feels like it’s coming at us from all angles.

Last week, I noticed the personal impact it had on me. My sleep wasn’t as sound. My routines were WAY off. Motivation was slim, overwhelm and anger high.

My sign that I need to take care of myself is when my clothes are scattered on the floor. I will always make my bed no matter what’s going on, but when I notice things getting cluttered, it’s a sign my mind is, too.

Boring self-care is so so important, so as we start a new week, here’s your reminder to check-in, and a small list of self-care to go through—some of these you may not have even considered self-care.

💌Brush your teeth
💌Wash your face
💌Take a shower
💌Pick the clothes up off the floor (@ me)
💌Listen/watch something that brings you joy or distracts
💌Cuddle those you love (including fur babies) 🐈‍⬛🐶

Last week wasn’t my best, maybe you feel that way, too. My goal this week is to be more intentional with my anger, rather than let it overwhelm me. I’m trying to give myself grace and kindness, and I hope you work to do the same 🫶🏻
