For those who are unfamiliar, I’ve included a sample image from the campaign on the third slide, but warning for language that might be triggering for folks living with an STI. The campaign holds that Trump is an STD and infection to be stopped.

Equating any human as an STI feeds stigma. Using STIs as a joke reinforces the social stigma and the world perception. If you laugh when you see this sign, you are not laughing at the inadequacies and failures of Donald Trump, you are laughing at and invalidating people with STIs (which is either you or someone you know).

Donald Trump won’t be impacted by the campaign, but folks with STIs will see where you stand if you purchase their stickers or. Don’t “STD”—stop the stigma.
