Celebrating #ThxBirthControl: The Power of Choice and Self-Advocacy

My recent posts on leading a childfree life were in preparation for #thxbirthcontrol day (11/18) in partnership with @powertodecide.

When I was 15, I wrote (yes, hand-wrote) my mom a letter explaining that I wanted birth control and outlining the reasons why. Looking back, this is still how I approach my arguments. With deep thought. With research. With passion. With self advocacy.

Thanks birth control, for pleasure, for power, for choice, and for the release of all expectations of my body’s reproductive capabilities.
